About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, whilst ensuring a positive work culture. You will lead, motivate and supervise the team to ensure quality and consistency. You must be energetic and enthusiastic with a real passion for cooking and people management.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience as Sous Chef or a Chef de Partie ready to take the next step
- Must have Italian cuisine experience. Pizza skill advantageous
- Exposure to high energy work environment
- Management experience and leadership skills with focus on staff development
- Understanding of food safety standards
- Proven ability in building and maintaining effective relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable to change, possess initiative and solution focused
- Must be available and willing to work a rotating roster, including weekend and public holiday
